Hearst Museum object titled Miniature pitcher, accession number 7-10103, described as pitcher; bottom reads "Abbott Beere's Jack from Carving on St. Benedicts' Church Glastonbury" register number 382436.  a narrow pitcher with an egg-shaped mouth which is trimmed in gold.  the shield is a rounded continental divided in a cross style, outlined in yellow, solid red background.  in the upper left corner is a white winged bull, upper right is a standing lion, front legs against the left side border, head is facing behind.  in the bottom left are two snarling dog heads facing left with a sword standing between (hilt on top).  bottom right is a front facing stag head.  down the middle of the cross is a shepard's staff.  beneath the shield is a scrolling yellow ribbon written in Latin "Nisi Dominus Frustra" written below is "Chelsea".  the pitcher is cylindrical and bulbs out in the middle, the bottom flutes out to create a small foot.  the handle is a slight arch attached below the lip arching down to the middle.  made by W.H. Hearst Museum object titled Miniature pitcher, accession number 7-10101, described as pitcher; small handle on low side near lip.  lip is trimmed in gold.  the body is spherical with a small narrowing neck.  the lip opposite the handle, the mouth elongated and curved inwards.  the shield is a florid shield.  the top third of the shield is black with three crowns lined up.  below is an inverted chevron with three yellow stag heads and three, blue fleur-de-lys around the chevron.  on top of the shield is a purple knight's helmet and shoulders.  around the knight’s helmet down both sides of the shield are filigree leaves of blue and white.  above the knight is a lighthouse with lines indicating that it is lit.  beneath the shield is a yellow ribbon with "Respice Aspice Prospice" beneath this in small print "500TLE".  made by W.H.
