pitcher; bottom reads "Abbott Beere's Jack from Carving on St. Benedicts' Church Glastonbury" register number 382436. a narrow pitcher with an egg-shaped mouth which is trimmed in gold. the shield is a rounded continental divided in a cross style, outlined in yellow, solid red background. in the upper left corner is a white winged bull, upper right is a standing lion, front legs against the left side border, head is facing behind. in the bottom left are two snarling dog heads facing left with a sword standing between (hilt on top). bottom right is a front facing stag head. down the middle of the cross is a shepard's staff. beneath the shield is a scrolling yellow ribbon written in Latin "Nisi Dominus Frustra" written below is "Chelsea". the pitcher is cylindrical and bulbs out in the middle, the bottom flutes out to create a small foot. the handle is a slight arch attached below the lip arching down to the middle. made by W.H. Goss, 1884-1914.
