Hearst Museum object titled Karchesian, accession number 8-1647, described as Karchesion with 8-1646. Description from Matteucig (1951): Kantharos; height: 9 cm; height to top of handles: 12.8 cm; diameter: 11.5 cm (see Matteucig's plate VII, 7). Brown impasto. Clay pale red; polished reddish-brown surface. Shape like that of no. 8-1539. On the shoulder, between handles, three groups of three vertical grooves; be tween each group dioxide remains of lead vertical laminae. One of the handles is partly restored.
Hearst Museum object titled Karchesian, accession number 8-1649, described as Another, wire twist similar to 8-1648. Description from Matteucig (1951): Kantharos; height: 6.5 cm; height to top of handles: 7.8 cm; diameter: 13 cm (see Matteucig's plate VII, 6). Gray impasto. Clay light gray with black shiny particles; lightly polished dark gray surface. Shape a slight deviation from that of no. 8-1648. Knobs and grooves on shoulder; tocchi di punta at joint of neck and shoulder and at base of flat handles.  Cf. J.d.I., IV, 1900, p. 170, fig. 12, 5 from Poggio Buco: C.V. A., Denmark, fase. Description from Matteucig (1951): Kantharos; height: 8 cm; height to top of handles: 10.2 cm; diameter: 11.4 cm (see Matteucig's plate VII, 5). Brown impasto. Clay pale red; polished dark brown surface. High neck, slightly concave, joined to shoulder at a sharp angle; straight sides contracting to narrow flat base. Flat vertical handles. On shoulder, halfway between handles, two small knobs; shoulder decorated with short vertical grooves. Up slightly chipped; cracks on neck.  Cf. Mon.
