Hearst Museum object titled Vase, accession number 9-12336, described as Sake bottle, porcelain. For altar use (?). Pear shaped with narrow long neck and small slightly flaring mouth rim. Grey-blue brushed underglaze decoration of an arabesque design. Continuous vine with leaves all-round the body in repeating design, on white ground. Many brown specks on body. Nicks in foot rim. Height 14.5cm. From Japan, Saga Prefecture (Hizen Province), Arita, "Imari" ware. Attributed to Late 17th century.

Hearst Museum object titled Vase, accession number 9-12335, described as Sake bottle, porcelain. For altar use (?). Pear shape with long narrow neck and flared lip. Undeglae brushed decoration in light blue of stems, leaves and larger petaled flowers on a ground of white. The lower half has greyed. Grey-blue, band around lower half and two on the short foot. The glaze has many small bubbles in it. A few pits and scratches around body. Height 16cm. From Japan, Saga Prefecture (Hizen Province), Arita, "Imari" ware. Attributed to 18th century.
