Sake bottle, porcelain. For altar use (?). Pear shape with long narrow neck and flared lip. Undeglae brushed decoration in light blue of stems, leaves and larger petaled flowers on a ground of white. The lower half has greyed. Grey-blue, band around lower half and two on the short foot. The glaze has many small bubbles in it. A few pits and scratches around body. Height 16cm. From Japan, Saga Prefecture (Hizen Province), Arita, "Imari" ware. Attributed to 18th century.
