Front of the body of the jug is decorated with applied flowers, grapes and leaves. Arm at each side of the jug have elbow length sleeves, and hold birds under each. Rudimentary legs and feet emerge from the front of the jug and are crossed in front. A human head and modeled and incised face, wearing drop earrings, and with heavy braids which terminate with applied flowers, is placed between the body an the neck of the jug. “T.B” is inscribed on the base of the vessel. She wears drop earrings, a bead necklace, and has modeled, pierced and incised features. A long braid is attached to the back of her skull, which hangs down her back, and ends with an applied flower and leaves. Her eyes and mouth are punched through to make hollow openings. She holds a small goat (a kid) in her proper left hand and her proper right hand touches her necklace. Three children rest at her feet. Ribs are incised and an oval opening is cut in her mid-section. “T.B.” is incised on the inside of her skirt. H=13.7cm; W=8.5cm; L=8.3cm. JP-752
