Verso has 2 blue foliage scrolls and 3 blue symbols. Badly chipped on the inside, 2 chips on verso.

Scalloped rim forming 'brace' marks and ribs. Bird on flowering tree limb in grey-purple, green, yellow and blue overglaze enamel, with red; and black lacquer detail and outline. White ground, brown pigment on rim. Underside has three green and grey enamel leaf and limb designs. Geometric floral design on foot with four panels with floral design. Three bands in underglaze blue. Fuku "prosperity" seal mark on bottom with green enamel over it. Height 6 centimeters, rim diameter 21 centimeters.

Rectangular shape, flat bottom, short curved out sides and recessed foot. Blue floral motif on center bottom, outlined with gold. Irregular band on sides with gold vine motif on red enamel ground, bordered by blue. Red "weave" pattern near bottom. Two spaces near rim with gold flower on green ground. Three blue filled circles on underside on white ground, (similar to Chinese coin design), with gold outline & filigree. Comb pattern on foot. Inscription on base almost identical to 9-12381. H. 3.7cm.

Red Hoo bird on a yellow and green enamel tree stump, blue waves on white ground. Yellow band around base of sides. Red enamel geometric band above yellow. Wider band of dark blue at rim with floral textile pattern drawn in black. Four panels on the blue band with two alternating designs with in: two with conch shell over whisk; and two with artemisia leaf over whisk. Brown rim four leaf and twig designs on underside, probably artemisia leaf motif, with three circles on each corner. Blue underglaze saw-tooth pattern on foot. Black and green Fuku "prosperity" seal mark on base, a common mark on Kutani ware. Height 3.5 centimeters, Sides 21.5 centimeters each.

'Nabeshima ware, wide, shallow bowl shape, on tall pedestal foot.  four clusters of pomegranates w/ blue underglaze leaves and branches, and blue-green enamel leaves.  darker blue outline.  pomegranates are in light and dark red enamel w/ touches of yellow.  pure white ground.  3 Chinese coin designs w/ fillets on underside*.  Nabeshima 'comb' pattern band around foot.  one of four identical plates.  H. 4.5 cm. rim Dia. 21.6 cm.

Hearst Museum object titled Dish, accession number 9-12431, described as Japan, Saga Prefecture (Hizen), Arita, Kakiemon Style, Nangawara Kiln. Bowl, porcelain with overglaze enamel decoration. Kakiemon ware. Hemisphere shape with pierced design: cut out to resemble overlapping circles. Delicate design of bird (peacock?) on one of two flowering branches with red flowers and blue and green leaves, Bird has blue neck, green feathers, and a long red feathered tail. Small flower designs at rim where each cutout circle overlaps. Alternating groups of two and three flowers on outerside, between circles and foot. Height 7.5 centimeters, rim diameter 18 centimeters.
