A cloth strap attached to the rim attests to its having been hung when in use. Coarse, open diagonal twine, with 3 rows of plain twine beneath the rim. The bark on the materials is both stripped and unstripped (warp) and, in the case of the weft material, stripped until near the rim, where reddish-colored bark provides a contrast with the light-colored (and stripped) weft.
