Basket; twined. Warp is Willow (Salix), weft is yellow Pine. White pattern is Beargrass (Xerophyllum tenax). Black color is Maidenhair fern (Adiantum pedatum). Red color is Chain fern (Woodwardia spinulosa) dyed in Alder (Alnus rubra). Large, deep, twined. Worn from use. Red overlay coming off. White, red, and black overlay, 2-faced; diagonal sawtooth bands, some containing diamonds; flanked by diagonal rows of triangles. Mostly plain twined. 3-strand twining occurs: 4 cm radius from start, 3 rows begin 5.5 cm out, 2 rows at 8 cm out, 2 rows at 10 cm out, 3 rows at 11.5 cm out, 2 rows at 13 cm out, 1 row at 15 cm out, 2 rows at 17 cm out, 2 rows at 19 cm from start.
