Hearst Museum object titled Tile, accession number 9-14571, described as Roof Tile; Terra cotta, glaze; clay sculpture; blue-green, yellow; 13" long, 7.5" high;  fragment, parts broken off; dragon head Roof ornament, glazed ceramic tile with model dragon head; gaping mouth with large teeth bared, large swirling eyebrows over bulging eyes.  Terminates in vertical cut at mouth at one end, in 45 angle behind horns at other end.  Mottled green glaze over most of surface with yellow ears, mane, and lip, and ivory colored teeth, horns and eyes.  Incised detail.  Part of upper lip broken off and missing, many chips, worn surface.  Hollow interior.  H. 19.5, L. 33 cm China Ceramic, modeled.  Green, yellow and ivory glazes Roof tile ornament.

Press molded floral, light relief.  Cut corners.  Covered with light blue-green opaque glaze with slight flambe of emerald green and purple.  Traces of morter around outer edges.  Similar to 9-14578.  32 cm square, 4 cm thick. Porcelan, mold-formed, Blue-green glaze Openwork tile for architectural and garden use.

Openwork tile, ceramic; square, 4 cm. thick, hollow, with openwork design:  floral medallion at center, surrounded by 4 'brace' mark like arms.  Ju-i scepter heads on inside corners, notched on outside corners.  Green to blue-green glaze, very worn and scratched.  Traces of mortar on un-glazed edge.  35cm. square, 4cm thick. China Ceramic, mold formed.  Green to blue-green glaze. Openwork tile for architectural and garden use.
Hearst Museum object titled Tile, accession number 9-14570, described as Roof tile; Terra Cotta, glaze; clay sculpture; blue, yellow, buff clay body; 16" long, 16" high;  Ridge roof tile; bad condition.  Lion dog crouched on all fours, tall over back, mouth open, teeth bared.  Much of the blue glaze has chipped off Roof ornament, glazed ceramic figure of lion-dog, crouched on all fours on hollow rectangular block base; tall over back, mouth open, teeth bared.  Deep incised lines for fur.  Fore paws grasp front of base.  Lung chih fungus, orcloud represented below belly. Mottled lue-green glaze covers most of figure and base, with yellow details and transparent glazed mouth, lung chin, etc.  Much of the glaze has been worn and chipped off.  H. 39.5 cm, max. L 49.5 cm, max W 16 cm Ceramic, modelled; blue, yellow, transparent glazes. Roof ridge ornament Jan. 1965 - Condition same as noted on front of card
