That is followed by 2 weft rows of plain twining. The warp sticks are trimmed and a rod was added to support the rim. The rim and the last two weft rows of twining are wrapped in beargrass. The main design is a flower/star design with three bands of triangles. The basket has a rightward work direction. The basket has an up to the right slant of weft twist. The overlay is primarily one-sided. The basket is possibly Wiyot, based on the use of black-dyed woodwardia.
