Hearst Museum object titled Carving, accession number 5-15930, described as carving.  ornamental bullroarer.  tapered at the top with a hole pierced through and tapered to a round edge on the bottom.  male figure carved in relief on front center.  he has elongated face, hands held together over the belly.  features are somewhat worn with some areas of heavy encrustations.  because of the figure, this one MAY have been purely ornamental and not swung over the head.  38 cm long x 8 cm wide.

Hearst Museum object titled Carving, accession number 5-15926, described as carving, Shango dance wand.  kneeling female on rectangular self-base/wand.  she holds each of her breasts in her hands.  a solid thunderaxe sits atop her head with 2 cross shapes.  1 on each side.  hair is brought up to the back of the head in 4 sections.  where the sections meet there is a round center piece of hair.  carved line representing the spine on her back.  the bottom of her toes are visible in the back.  left ear sits higher than the right ear.  3 horizontal scarification marks on each cheek and 3 vertical ones on forehead.  holes for pupils in eyes.  some damage to the face.  4 carved bracelets on each wrist.  beaded necklaces and belly button.  bottom of handle is damaged and uneven.  incision on belly above belly button.  45.5 cm tall.
Hearst Museum object titled Carving, accession number 5-15996, described as carving, wood.  female figure with stylized block-like body.  breasts, but no arms or legs.  child on her back strapped on with a belt.  3 concentric Vs on chest of mother and on [handwritten on card: back] of child.  mother's face has horizontal scarification lines on forehead, cheeks, and chin.  [handwritten on card: headdress] is chipped off in the back.  ears come out of the headdress.  headdress heavily patterned with horizontal and vertical lines, zig zags, and cross hatching.  solid area on peak from front to back.  child's headdress is less elaborate.  29.6 cm tall x 4.2 cm wide x 8.7 cm deep.

Hearst Museum object titled Carving, accession number 5-15934, described as carving.  male figure on round self-base with attached handle at the bottom of the base.  figure has wide cup-like piece nailed into its head that is tapered to blunt points on either end.  the figures left side is non-existant.  he has no left arm, leg, ear, eye, or buttock.  right ear is heavily stylized.  had copper wire wrapped around waist.  insect damage on bottom of handle.  43.5 cm tall (canoe-like piece on head:  25.5 cm long x 4.5 cm tall).
