Loops on outer edge similar to Ashanti gold weights. Slot cut into convex surface for musical mouthpiece (cut post-original manufacture). Hollow. Length 39.5 centimeters, diameter at wide end 3.4 centimeters. From West Africa, Ghana, Ashanti. Context of use: possibly used as decoration on end of staff.
