Cotton 2 two-ply blue; 4 two-ply green, purple; 6 two-ply blue. Supp. weft brocading in zigzag design dominates this piece with the exception of blue borders on both ends. Colors are non-traditional cording to donor Miguel Hun.Old style ceremonial huipils from this town are usually of three lienzos; this single lienzo example was probably made for sale as a table cloth per M. Schevill.

Weft-face woven center panel with weft-face stripes, supplementary weft brocading, braided trim at neck. Uncut neck. Machine stitched seams and hem. Cotton: 2 single-ply in ivory warp and weft, center panel with 4 single-ply weft, 2 single-ply warp in ivory. Weft-faced stripes in red, orange, brown, blue, yellow, purple, red. 4-6 two-ply brocading in blue, green, orange, brown, yellow, pink, in geometric bird and flowers in vase motifs.

One end has cut warps that are hand hemmed; other warp end is loom-finished. Head hole is slit. 56 cm x 77.5 cm. Cotton: 2 ply in black; Mercerized cotton: 3 two-ply in pink magenta, purple, green, yellow, white, red and blue. Supp. weft is densely woven throughout piece, woven in geometric iconography. Band of plain black cotton at bottom (ground fabric).

Supplementary weft pattern in single row of purple, blue, green, red in body of blouse front. 4 rows of red and purple pattern in body of blouse back. Warp-faced center stripes in red, green, blue, joined with green, orange, blue, pink overcast stitches. Cotton - plain weave, 3 single-ply warp and weft in white. 3 - 5 double-ply supplementary weft. 2 - 4 double-ply embroidery at neck, twisted thread ties. Condition: good.
