Hearst Museum object titled Blanket, accession number 2-36863, described as Wool, striped, zigzag diamond design; red ground; brown and white design.  This is an early "Flight of the Wild Geese" pattern.  The colors are faded very little.  The patching was done by the Navajo from whom it was purchased and the mending was done later.

Brown bands with designs in orange and yellow with brown centers, white outlines.  This small rug is woven of coarser wool than is usual.  Notice the black is the natural black from a black sheep.  It is not faded.  These are all made of hand spun yarns and vegetable dyes.
