Hearst Museum object titled Canine figurine, accession number 11-45533, described as Carved wood figure inlaid with mother of pearl (3 pieces missing of original 4).  Figure is if a dog or other canine, standing on its back legs, balanced by its tail, with front paws to muzzle.  Figure is on a decorated stand.  Entire piece is carved from a single piece of wood.  H = 18.0cm.  Collected in the1980s.

Stopper: yellow orchid stem right twill , fern binding, 2 narrow rows of plain weave over broad 6/6 band of orchid stem; bottom row binding. Materials: Bottlegourd, glass beads, mother-of-pearl, tight 3- & 11-ply barkfiber cords. Fern fiber, orchid stem, lime. Used as container for lime, which is chewed with betel and areca nut.
