: Hearst Museum object titled Blanket, museum number 2-58505, described as Chief's blanket," Second Phase; top, center and bottom bands are dark brown, red (cochineal-dyed bayeta), and indigo with indigo blocks on cochineal ground; there are ten alternating white and brown bands on the body of the blanket (5 above and 5 below the center band); all handspun except for red (1-ply unraveled bayeta); green wool selvedge; tapestry weave.
