Lower third is bright multicolor diagonally patterned stripes, as is border.  Orange silk satin covered with multicolor embroidery, mostly satin, chain and stem stitch, french knot and couching.  China att.  Cf 9-13559 file code 3.3.  This item has the same dragon and wave design.  It is a dragon robe from the late 19th c. and may have been worn by a prince of high ranking mandarin official.  145 cm by 48 cm.

Represents various smiling figures in pursuit of daily activities inside & outside pagoda.  Embroidered silk satin with cotton backing in orange, blue, green, beige, yellow, gold, pink & black.  China att.  155 cm by 73 cm.
Hearst Museum object titled Horse figurine, accession number 9-16454a,b, described as Figures, horses (A&B) on attached stands;  hollowed ceramic mirror-image Tang Dynasty reproductions, each sturdy bodied horse lifts a foreleg & crouches slightly on his hind legs, painted patchily to look old, ea. wear saddle & trappings, bobbed tail, rust red, black blue & white on somewhat coarse ceramic.  Modeled and painted (?) ceramic.  Both horses have broken and regaled in several places and dirt adhering (especially inside).  China att.  Max ht - 26.5 cm.
