Designs are maidenhair fern including anthropomorphic designs.  Both bottom and top rim is wrapped, typical of Atsugewi.  Plain twined except for a few bands of three strand twining.

Twined materials are conifer root weft, bear grass overlay, probably maidenhair fern for black.  Water damage, misshapen at rim and one side is falling inward. Four pairs of rhombus/parallelogram chains (vertical) on sides. Design on bottom, checkered.  Twining on bottom is 2 inches of 3 strand twining (at starting knot) 3 inches of plain twining and then 3 rows of three strand twining. Plain twined up to rim, except for 1 row of 3 strand twining just below rim. It has shoot warps.
