Description:
Per Ralph Shanks: twined basket bowl/storage basket/cooking pot. Twined materials are conifer root weft, bear grass overlay, probably maidenhair fern for black. Water damage, misshapen at rim and one side is falling inward. Four pairs of rhombus/parallelogram chains (vertical) on sides. Design on bottom, checkered. Twining on bottom is 2 inches of 3 strand twining (at starting knot) 3 inches of plain twining and then 3 rows of three strand twining. Plain twined up to rim, except for 1 row of 3 strand twining just below rim. It has shoot warps.

Marked as missing in 1993 on catalog card. Based on number and description this is basket TB-59. Tag on basket has same number as another basket. Other basket retained the number. This basket got wet, its number got smeared and miss-read as 72036, the number is actually 72026.
