: Hearst Museum object titled Adze, museum number 2-4050, described as Socketed, nephrite blade hafted in caribou antler, with rawhide lashing. Stone axe head encased in antler socket and lashed to antler handle; additional lashing along handle, to give a better grip to the user. Interesting REPLICA made partly with old used material (jadeite blade and leather thong).

Sinew bowstring has center wrapped with spruce root. Wood, carved; section of the wood mostly rectangular, a bit convex on backside; on front surface: reinforced with sinew cord wrapping, as well as its middle with a long antler slab (61 cm) placed between sinew & wood; on backside. Yup'ik name: urluveq.

: Hearst Museum object titled Bow and arrows, museum number 2-4409a-c, described as Arrows with bow, used for hunting muskrat. (a) sinew-backed bow (b/c) antler or bone tipped arrow. Wood bow, reinforced with a sinew lashing; two arrows have bone or antler with asymmetric points; a string of sinew is wound around each arrow. For the hunt the other end was knotted to the bow. Rib bone; asymmetrically carved point; notched at proximal end to take arrow string. See bow 2-4409a and arrows 2-4409b,c. For hunting small game such as muskrat.
