Hearst Museum object titled Bowl, accession number 9-13412, described as Platter, porcelain, celadon glaze; Wide, shallow bowl shape with horizontal flange. Impressed and incised decoration of peony design. Incised wave pattern band on flange. Glaze is a glossy olive-green celadon with broad crazing. Scrape marks on unglazed base. Small chips in glaze on rim. Marked "China" on base. Height 6.5 cm., diameter 35.3 cm.

Red and gold diamond "textile" pattern ground between panels. Gold on rim. Blue underglaze scrollwork on underside and comb tooth band around foot. Label on base marked "made in occupied Japan".
