4 x 5" Negative. Hong Kong, China. View from the water of Lyeemee Pass. Hoefler's original description: "Hong Kong, China. Ocean liners arriving in Hong Kong pass through Lyeemun Pass, with the eastern extremity of the Island on the left and the mainland on the right. The Island is about ten miles long and from two and one-half miles to five miles wide, It is little more than an irregular range of hills, rising steeply from the sea to nearly 2,000 feet at the highest point, and presents an impressive skyline, balanced by the equally rugged mainland on the other side of the harbor.
