Carved & painted wood and hide drum. Circular drum and pedestal is carved from a single piece of tree trunk. Drum head is of hide, fixed via wooden pegs driven into the sides of the drum 7.5cm below the upper rim. The drum pedestal is 21.5cm high by 13.0cm in diameter. It extends below the larger drum and is hollowed. The drum is 23.5cm high by 32.0cm in diameter. A carved relief band , 8-9.0cm wide surrounds the middle of the drum and is painted green, black and red. The lower band around the drum is 5-6.0 cm wide and is painted black as is the underside of the drum head. A rope for carrying the drum is attached to one side.
