Coiled, globular. Two interior tags: "C620 MLE 3.50" second tag "Nov 1938 31 Portor" exterior hangtag "31. Portor Mission Type" Per Ralph Shanks: Coiled small basket bowl. Deergrass bundle foundation. Sumac and orange juncus wefts. Designs in sumac include two diamonds and two six pointed stars. Exterior workface, with a rightward work direction, and bound under weft fag ends. Plain wrapped rim, with rim ticks and a tapered coil ending. Possibly a Kumeyaay basket.
