Description:
Rug, mafrash. 4 panels between 16"-19" each, joined with faggotting stitches, but not all the way to the ends. Colors: red, black, and white sheep wool and beige camel hair. 'Weirjan patterns at joins are handsome. Narrow bands of "ant" patterns in red and blue. Wasm and a word embroidered on a white strip. S-ply. Red and blue dyes unknown. Plain weave and complementary warp patterning. 12 EPI. Ends are beautifully embroidered with black cotton binding sewn over them by machine and by hand. Loops were sewn on for hanging on one end.
