Twined, globular, small with red triangles on light ground. Tag "Klamath River Tribes Att.". Per Ralph Shanks: Globular basket bowl. The basket has a crossed warp starting knot. The warp material is probably hazel or willow. The background weft is conifer root. The weft overlay is beargrass and red-dyed woodwardia fern. At the starting knot is three strand twining to the edge of the base. Plain twining continues up to the rim where there are two weft rows of three strand twining. The design on the sides is triangles with two woodwardia bands at the rim and at the base. The basket has an up to the right slant of weft twist. The basket has a rightward work direction with an exterior workface. The overlay is on the outside. The rim is trimmed. The basket is from Northwestern California, possibly Karuk.
