Pair of child’s pink and black shoes with gray tassel. Pink patterned satin uppers over green, black, and white piping, an appliquéd black braid under the upper edge and a black cotton upper border in two tiers. Tip covered with heavy-duty cord-embroidered black satin. On either side, an endless knot of black braid, the loose end of which ends at the tip of the shoe in a split-stitched line and scroll. Under that, a black, embroidered chrysanthemum. Same near heel. Uppers lined with coarse, white cotton. Bottom sole wood, twine stitched. Overall length: 20.5 cm; length at bottom of sole: 16.4 cm; greatest width of sole: 5.6 cm; length of tassel: 5 cm.
