MATERIALS, TECHNIQUES: Cotton: white background; red, yellow and green geometric designs. Silk floss: magenta, yellow, dark green. CONTEXT OF USE: Ceremonial or cofradía huipil, one of 27 huipiles from Sacapulas. Iconography: Geometric woven body; embroidery in fan/tassel motif. Weaver's mark of a single diagonal red line. New neckline decoration on manta; embroidery yarn is sedalina added in the late 1960s (Arriola de Geng). CONSERVATION: Good. Worn body, candle wax, some repair.
