cup, three handled equidistant from each other. three shields, one between each handle; Shield of Lancashire - Classic shape with a red background, three yellow lions stacked on each other, largest on top. over the top lion is a white bar triangulated "tags" hanging equidistant from each other. below the shield is a yellow scrolling ribbon with "Lancashire". shield for the city of Liverpool - shield is florid in style but classic in shape, no color set as background, at the center is gray pelican holding a branch in its beak. on the right side of the shield is a mer-man with a green tail (from the waist down and purple tufts around his waist and tip of the tail). face is framed with blond hair, side burns and beard, blowing in a horn with the left hand holding a flag staff in the right. flag is white with a brown boat on the sea. on the left side of the shield is a mostly nude man with a wreath of leaves around his waist and a leaved ribbon wrapped over his right shoulder. both figures are standing on a yellow sconce with a purple ribbon draped in three inverted arches. the partially nude man holds a triton in his right hand and a flag staff in his left, the flag is white with a pelican. on the ribbon is "Deus Nubis Hee Otia Fecit". the shield is slightly above the sconce and is being supported by cattails (two on each side). above the shield is a purple bushel of leaves above this a gray pelican flapping its wings, standing on a white and gray diagonally striped bar. below the ribbon is written "City of Liverpool". third crest has the shield in a classic shape divided per Wise with a blue bar; background is white. down the center of the blue bar are three stag heads. on the right side of the shield is an upright stag striding towards the shield, its front legs supporting the shield, around its neck is a blue crown. on the left side of the shield is an upright griffin with its wings opened; its front legs support the shield. both animals are yellow and standing on a yellow scrolling ribbon. beneath the griffin reads "Sans", beneath the stag reads "Changer". beneath the ribbon is "Earl of Derby". above the shield sits a yellow crown with blue and purple jewels. above the crown is a yellow goose with its wings open and its head arched down, stands on a purple stand. made by W.H.
