Vases (a, b) pair, cloisonne on brass. Panathenaic amphoric form, vertically fluted into four panels. Each panel decorated with a central stylized wire lotus and scroll motif surrounded by continuous wire scrolls on black ground. Gilded at rim and base. Two teak wood oval strands which conform to fluted shape of vases, footed. Carved and of continuous thunder clouds upper sides. Lower sides open scroll work. (a,c) 32 cm height (b,d) 12.3 cm length
