Dish decorated with one large curled fish. Height 8.8 cm.; diameter 23.7 cm. Painted in 6 colors. The background color is white on which is painted a black fish (in the upper portion) having a white lower portion separated by a purple median line. Orange stippling is used as a filler. The interior and exterior walls are dark red. The exterior bottom is light red. The design area is badly flaked. This vessel is a pair to 4-4741. Blotchy areas on the interior walls are striking and they are believed to be due to a chemical reaction which occurred during firing.
