Twined. Per Ralph Shanks: This fragment was found with objects Larry Dawson had pulled to study. Ralph is not sure why he pulled them. This is one fragment of twined basketry. The fragment has up to four weft rows of plain twining and the rest is diagonally twined. Both types of twining are done over two rods of warp sticks. The slant of weft twist is up to the right. The basket is very finely woven and has what appears to be food residues and stains. It could have been a winnowing tray. The materials are possibly willow.
