Round with concave base, sides incurving at base. Stepped triangle design in dark brown on straw colored ground. Band of straw-colored and brown stripes around lower area. Openwork below wrapped rim, rim badly broken. Hazel or willow stick warp, conifer root weft, plain twined with white grass and maidenhair fern half twist overlay, cotton string and white grass wrap on rim. Per Ralph Shanks: Storage shaped basket, probably made for sale. The warps are hazel, and are crossed below the rim.
