MINIATURE NATIVITY SCENE: Diorama sealed into a glass and wood box. Scene composed of a stable with grass roof, and painted and embellished front wall and lintel. In side stable a manger on which a tiny infant lies rests diagonally with a donkey leaning over the end. A sheep stands in front of the manger, with Joseph to the proper right and Mary to the proper left. A cow and a sheep stand outside the stable to the proper right; a sheep to the proper left. Sphagnum moss covers the base. Sides and background are painted to look like a sky with white clouds and bare ground (to which sand has been glued. Exterior wood is painted red. Sealing tapes are blue-grey.
