Materials: Glazed porcelain Diameter at rim: 16 cm Date: Great Leap, 1959-1961 Country: People’s Republic of China Description: The exterior decorated in red with repeated abstract floral motifs and two characters meaning “Harvest” (丰收 fengshou), the characters were imitation of seal script and were enclosed in harvesting motifs. The interior is decorated with floral motif and embossed with the character 石 shi. Inscription: Two impressions in red of circular kiln mark “Rain flowers, Nanjing 15” (南京雨花十五 Nanjing yuhua shiwu) Place of Origin: Nanjing Condition: Good, Signs of wear Acquisition Data: Mr. Geng, Guwancheng Date: 2005-01-15.
