MATERIALS, TECHNIQUES: Cotton. Neckpiece of fuschia satin-weave cloth; semi-rosettes. Embroidery of silk floss in white, red, yellow and green. CONTEXT OF USE: Ceremonial or cofradía huipil, one of 27 huipiles from Sacapulas. Body in cotton in contrast to others that have silk floss wefts and suppl weft brocading. Iconography: Geometric in woven body; floral at neck. . CONSERVATION: Good. Some stains and candle wax. Medallions were outlined in silk which has since worn away.
