Enamel mug with lid. A red inscription spray painted on white ground indicates that the mug was a gift following the victory of the defense of the Chinese border with Vietnam. “Fighting back in self-defense; Protecting the border. Remembering Victory. Presented by the Central Relief Organization, March, 1979 (自衛还击,保卫边疆 胜利纪念 中央慰問団贈 一九七九年三月 Ziwei huanji, baowei bianjiang. Shengli jinian. Zhongyang weiwentuan zeng. Yijiuqijiu nian san yue). Tiananmen gate is stenciled on the opposite side. Identical stencils, front and back, on 113.
