Description:
prelo- distaff, wooden, stands on floor. Pole supported by circular base. Carved design on base includes hexagons with 6 rayed star in center, hatched circles and stars. Top of pole is separate piece with 6 circular lines around it. Large hank of raw wool fastened to top with rawhide band and black cord. height: 73cm Used by women and maidens who sit on floor next to distaff. Used usually with spinning while #7-5418, but also with spindles
