- Peruvian childs poncho w/ separately woven fringe band sewn on all 4 sides. Made of 2 pieces of woolen textile sewn together. 6 wide woven rectangular pattern bands forming an “X” are separated by narrow warp stripes. Pink/black/whit/orange/red/green. Fringe band is red & white w/ multicolored fringe in 3cm colored sections. A 1 “ wide woven tape has been sewn around the edge of the poncho.Embroidered center seam. Overall 142 cm x 86cm. Woven segment 129.5cm x 71cm. Fringe band 8cm. Both pieces show mark of back strap loom.
