Fly repeller. Leather dyed brown and reddish brown with black-dyed stitches. Long wide leather fringe. Twisted leather thong loops at top. Width at top not including loops is 43 centimeters. From Niger, Lake Chad area, N'guigmi Market. Context of use: fly repeller for camels, attaches to halter. Seen only when the camels were decked out for show. Doubles as decoration for animal.
