Context of use:
When the last load of the harvest was taken to the stackyard, the handbell ringers went with it along with the harvest "Lord" and his "Lady". The prettiest girl was chosen to ride on the leading horse representing the Goddess Ceres. Bells were rung to announce their coming and also as thanks for a harvest safely gathered. From this piece of harvest custom comes the Cambridgeshire dolly.
