traditional monk's (lama) dress boots. boot upper constructed of tightly quilted khaki fabric reinforced to make it very stiff, sole of tightly braided/ woven cording. boot tops a dark brown and maroon (velvet?) fabrics bound at top with a black fabric band which is also used to line the boots. back of calf is split 26cm and bound with khaki fabric. top of foot decorated with an inset of patterned fabric.
