Description:
Enamel mug. The white ground is transferred with two red flowers depicted with seemingly imprudent strokes and flat, bright coloring scheme, a style reminiscent of Fauvism. Each flower is juxtaposed with a square shape with raw edges. Beside the image is a red inscription “The superiors help the inferiors, both would improve” (一帮一 一对红Yi bang yi yi dui hong). Cobalt blue bowstring decorates the rim.
