teapot topped with square handle; bottom reads neck to the nozzle is short; wide nozzle trimmed in gold. the general shape is stout and spherical. the crest is red with a gold border inside; three castle towers. holding the shield are a spotted cat on each side; the cats stand on a purple filigree stands. above the shield and in between the two cat heads is a ribbon with "Bon Accord". beneath the shield and overlapping the purple stand reads "Arms of Aberdeen". bottom reads "Model of Ancient Kettle dredged off Hastings 1873 in Hastings Museum." below is an illegible signature. numbered 237. made by Arcadian China, owned by Arkinstall and Sons (Ltd), 1904-1924.
