Arrowhead; trilobate, socketed. Tang pierced for rivet. Green patina. Trilobed, socketed arrowheads are widely distributed in NE Iran. The form may have developed in Trans-Caucasia. In Anatolia the archaeological context suggests an association with the Cimmerians in the late 8th or early 7th century B.C. In Persia they are reported from Zindan, Hasanlu, Ziweyeh; outside graves and cemeteries at Sialk “B” and from Bab Jan. Other sites, including Hasanlu, have yielded additional arrowheads of this type, but from unknown contexts. L. 3.0 cm.
