Old truncate-cone, coiled. Joined triangle patterns in red. Tag "No Loc". Tag on interior "113.g". Per Ralph Shanks: Coiled flaring basket. The foundation is single rod. The start is twined. The background wefts are sedge root (Carex) and the design wefts are redbud Cercis occidentalis). The design is two circles at the base and three rows of triangles on the sides. The basket has an exterior workface with a leftward work direction. The weft fag ends are clipped and concealed. The rim is plain wrapped, in poor condition, with a slightly tapered coil ending. The basket is from the Pomo or one of their neighbors.
