Description:

Kiva design rug made around 1917. Taghan Daulatabad. probably Farough sub-tribe of Ersari tribe. red, dark blue, orange. 21 guls in 3 x 7 arrangement. guls vary in size, approximately 35 x 40cm, appear to be variation of Daulatabad pattern with 4-eight pointed stars and central rectangle of 4 flowers arranged in symmetrically around a central point. diamond motifs between guls. multiple borders of various stars, floral and geometric patterns.
