Materials, techniques: Beads and cotton thread either strung or woven. Not on loom. Context of use: Ornament worn on forehead just below hairline by women but not uncircumcised girls- worn particularly at dances with flowers in hair or stuck under the band. Very small beads are no longer available. Description: Headband- multicolored small bads; 9 (approx. 3 cm long) blue strands at both ends divided by section of beads woven in horizontal direction from 9 orange strands- 9 more strand sections of alternating yellow and red beads separated by woven sections of blue and orange beads. L. 68 cm. W. 2 cm.
