Horse bell; circular brass bell w/ Burmese writing on it. Diam,6 cm. It is looped to a band of grey-brown & red woven yak hair. The band has various geometric designs, L.60cm, w.6cm. 8 tassels of red,black & white yak hair are tied at one end. Used by men to hang around a horse’s neck to excite and make it run faster in exhibitions of horsemanship. Band woven by Tibetans.
